The CEO team had an incredible opportunity to visit the Logan County Courthouse, where they met with Illinois 11th Circuit Judge Jonathan Wright, Logan County Clerk and Recorder Theresa Moore, and Katie Wright.
Judge Wright welcomed students to the historic third-floor courtroom, where he shared insights about his role in the judicial system, his career path, the courts' impact on entrepreneurs, and the types of cases he handles each week.
Next, students toured the Logan County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, where they explored the records vault containing historical documents such as deeds and birth certificates. Theresa Moore provided an overview of her office’s responsibilities, including election oversight.
Katie Wright then guided students through the process of filing a DBA (“Doing Business As”), equipping them with the knowledge to officially register their future businesses in their home counties.
